Spamalot (also known as Monty Python's Spamalot: A Musical (Lovingly) Ripped Off from the Motion Picture Monty Python and the Holy Grail) premiered at the Shubert Theatre (now the CIBC Theatre) in Chicago on December 21, 2004. The original Broadway production ran for 1,575 performances, was seen by more than two million people, and grossed over $175 million.
