Bel Air Trilogy: Circle Rod, 2000–2011
- Description (Dublin Core)
- Three minimal, highly polished stainless steel rod sculptures within three meticulously restored 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air automobiles with minor customizations by the artist. Highly popular because of its crisp, clean design and classic lines, this renowned model often featured a signature two-tone color scheme; The three cars exhibited in the sculpture group are a matched set, each painted in “Gypsy Red” and “Shoreline Beige” presenting a juxtaposition between classic car culture and austere, geometric forms.
