Metadata
The project is guided by film and archive-oriented cataloging standards, especially the FIAF Cataloguing Manual, which provides a conceptual structure for describing moving-image works. FIAF is useful because it includes film-specific elements such as title, agents, date, language, genre/form, extent, access conditions, and source notes.
The project also uses ISO 639-3 for language identification. Wu Chinese is identified by the code wuu, which allows the collection to describe Wu-language materials with more precision than a broad “Chinese” label.
