The area is served by three major railroads, two modern freeways, a major airport and large gas, power and water facilities. Latest new industry in the area is California Edison's new $30,000,000 steam power plant now under contruction. A number of allied steel industry plants are already operating in the area. The $200,000,000 Kaiser plant is shown in the center of the photograph.
