Metadata Elements

Identifier: An unambiguous reference to the item within a given context. Since the items come from various institutions, I decided to create my own identifier to unify the collection (e.g., 2022.iitb.01: 2022 = current year, iitb = “It’s in the Bag,” and .01 = first item cataloged).

Title: A name given to the item.

Date: A point or period of time associated with an event in the lifecycle of the item. For this collection, this refers to the date of creation.
