Artist Samson Young collaborated with University of Edinburgh's NESS (Next Generation Sound Synthesis) to explore concepts of divisions of time, space, and the progression of human civilization. He used computer algorithms to create 3D-printed, "imaginary" instruments to create musical compositions. Human vocals "enriched" some parts of the music, and drumbeats from drummer Shane Aspegren infiltrated the space. This was all featured in a video that also contained a recording of "God's Gonna Cut You Down" by 1950s gospel group, truly embodying a mix of genres and types of musical creations spanning decades.
