This is a site for beauty products in the United States during the 1940's. I was inspired by the various other projects regarding art and beauty in the Pratt Omeka list and wanted to make my own regarding a timespan that hasn't been done. I think that due to the ephemeral nature of makeup products, due to their composition, we need to try and preserve them as much as possible as they would give an insight as to the priorities and wants of those at the time.
