Methodology

This collection consists mainly of objects, but also includes images and bibliographic materials. I sourced these objects from the Library of Congress, the Victoria and Albert Museum, and other sites, all of which I have linked.

Within Omeka S's Dublin Core schema, I chose the following elements to populate my resource template:

Title: A name given to the resource.
Description: An account of the resource.
Date: A point or period of time associated with an event in the lifecycle of the resource.
Creator: An entity primarily responsible for making the resource.
Medium: The material or physical carrier of the resource.
Source: A related resource from which the described resource is derived.
Rights Holder: A person or organization owning or managing rights over the resource.
Identifier: An unambiguous reference to the resource within a given context.
